Frisbeers find their roots
Ireland’s two Ultimate Frisbee teams for the World Ultimate & Guts Championships in Canada broke ground at DCU.
The teams, with the help of DCU groundsmen, planted over 100 trees donated by Coillte, the national forestry body, behind the Helix on March 18.
“We all feel very proud and I had a great day,” says Laura McGrath, a DCU student on the women’s team. The Championships take place in Vancouver this August and will involve more than 100 teams from over 30 countries.
“This is a once in a life time opportunity and you have to make the most of it,” says McGrath.
