Advertising Guide

General information

The College View is Dublin City University’s independent student newspaper.

It is the only regular student-produced publication in the university, and indeed on the northside of Dublin.

A tabloid, we print 3,000 copies of the paper, which are distributed throughout all schools and faculties at DCU.

In the 2010 academic year we will be publishing six issues, amounting to one approximately every two weeks.

Our paper is read by the approximately 12,000 students and staff of DCU.

We are Irish Student Media Award winners in 2009 with members of the paper picking up the prizes for Journalist of the Year and Sports Writer of the Year.

Information

Info: There is a 20% premium for guaranteed positioning; a 10% discount for multiple (3 or more issues) advertising purchases; and a 50% discount for non-profit organisations and DCU clubs or societies. Proof of non-profit status may be required.

T&Cs: 1. Prices quoted presume artwork is supplied that is to our printer’s satisfaction. Any addition charges occured preparing artwork will be invoiced to the advertiser. 2. Failure to supply artwork before 6pm on the print deadline will result in the advertiser being charged for the advert regardless of whether or not an advert is published. 3. We reserve the right to refuse any advert if deemed unsuitable by the Editor, Deputy Editor or Production Manager. 4. Bookings may only be cancelled if written notice is given 15 days or more before the print deadline. Bookings cancelled less than 15 days before the print deadline will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. If no written notice is provided, advertisers will be invoiced for the full amount. 5. All adverts must be paid within 14 days of the date of publication. A late fee of 10% will apply for every week (or part of) after this date.

Payment: Payment should be made by cheque or bank draft payable to The College View. This should be sent to Advertising Department, The College View, Clubs and Socs Office, Dublin City University, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, Ireland. Account details will be provided on request for bank transfers.
