Everyone knows Ke$ha loves to party, but it seems there is a lot more to the glitter and Jack Daniels enthusiast. With the release of her new album Warrior, the singer who was initially expected to be a one hit wonder has no plans to leave any time soon.
Her second album is made up of an interesting mix of everything from slow ballads such as “Love Into The Light”, where her song writing skills are showcased, to infectious tongue in cheek classic Ke$ha pop songs such as “Die Young”.
Warrior also includes collaborations with Iggy Pop and Julian Casablancas of The Strokes. Her song with Julian Casablancas, “Only Want to Dance With You”, is a track that has a distinct rock edge to it and it will probably be stuck in your head for days, thanks to its infectious upbeat melody.
Ke$ha is not ready to say goodbye to her hard partying ways as the undeniably catchy “Crazy Kids” proves. This song is made up of a fusion of hip hop and electronic beats and features a combination of her distinctive rapping and singing which rivals her first single “Tik Tok”. This track is bound to be a big hit in the charts in 2013.
Warrior presents a more mature sound from the songstress, where she ditches the overuse of auto-tune and proves to her critics she can actually hold a tune. This album is made up of songs that would make any pop music aficionado happy.
