Equality of access, participation, and outcomes for postgraduate students in DCU are three subjects on the agenda for Isabel Aust, who is running uncontested for the position of Postgraduate Student Officer in the upcoming students’ union elections.
Aust plans to implement the USI-SIPTU Postgraduate Student Rights Charter, to end precarious working conditions and to address the crisis in the standard of living and extortionate housing costs.
Aust also plans to increase access to part time and blended learning options for all postgraduate students, improve access for parent and carer students, those with a disability, and/or those experiencing socio-economic disadvantage.
She also aims to be a strong voice for postgraduate students in the National Postgraduate Working Group (USI) and advocate for the rights of postgraduate students in DCU and at a national level.
Isabel Aust did not respond for comment in time for publication.
