Wanderlust: Bratislava, Slovakia
Bratislava in Slovakia is the perfect city to go to if you want an inexpensive holiday where you can sightsee and have nights out.
The city is stunning, everything from the buildings to the cobble streets and the picturesque statues. Bratislava is a spectacular city; the buildings alone are an architect’s dream and you’ll be stopping at every street corner to stare or take numerous photos.

Wanderlust: Transylvania, Romania at Halloween
So when my mother said she wanted to book a trip to Transylvania in Romania for the Halloween break last Autumn I was intrigued to say the least. On some level I knew Transylvania was a real place but it’s not something I’d ever really thought much into. My knowledge of the place was synonymous with Transylvania stereotypes – spooky castles, graveyards, vampires and bats flying around, you know the ones.

Wanderlust: Lausanne
Last call in most of the bars in Lausanne is at 10pm and unlike in Ireland where last call often means that you can stay in the pub for another hour or so, the Swiss don’t tolerate such practices. Bar staff will clear the place out within five minutes and hand you a plastic cup to pour the rest of your pint in.
