Stretched to the limit: Over 64,000 people waiting for orthopaedic treatment

People requiring hip and knee replacements are facing the worst waiting lists in Ireland,  with over 64,000 people waiting to see a consultant for their treatments. The figures, from the National Treatment Purchase Fund, for January 2020 show that a total of 64,907 people are waiting to access orthopaedic treatment.

National Transport Authority plan to replace Leap Cards

Leap cards will be replaced by the ability to pay for travel through mobile phones, bank cards, contactless bank cards or official ID. All of these forms of payment require user data so the anonymous option is through QR codes or some sort of electronic token.


Commission proposes to seal abuse records
