Turning Red Review – Pixar’s Period Drama

Turning Red is about periods and the changes that accompany them. But it’s also a lot more. It’s a study of adolescence in Toronto in the early noughties. A trip down family lane. It’s a loud reminder that it’s okay to be weird and different. But most of all, it’s a big fat lie about the size of red pandas.


Lana Del Rey – Blue Banisters Review

In other words, if you had a lust for old Lana, this tickles your ear canals in much the same way as her last six (!) albums did. And if you thought she was samey and dull, you can dump Blue Banisters on your mental scrapheap.


It’s a Sin Review

March 23, 2021

“It’s a Sin” will mash your emotions up like a potato and tug your heartstrings along a cheese grater. Makes a delicious meal then, but it’s heavy going. Do with that what you will, but it gets a hearty recommendation from me.
